You might have seen front page advertisements by State Bank of India in today's major news papers across the country. State Bank celebrates State Bank Day by doing remarkable community service every year on 1st Jul, this year 14000 branches of SBI donated 140000 fans to the schools. So what is this State Bank Day?

Intention of forming State Bank of India post independence was to make the formal banking and financial service reach the every corner of the country. Though SBI has grown far bigger than any private profit making banks, its basic intention was social banking. Imperial Bank of India was functioning as commercial and as well as central bank during the period of British rule in India. But our leaders felt there should be our own, state owned banking institution to make the financial services reach the every corner of the country. In the year 1955 Reserve Bank of India acquired the central bank functioning from Imperial Bank. Similarly to perform the commercial bank functioning the Imperial Bank of India was renamed as State Bank of India.

This major break through in the Indian banking industry was started with an parliament act in the year 1955. State Bank of India was given legal recognition by the provisions of the State Bank of India Act of 1955 which came into force from 1 July 1955. This parliament act enabled SBI to be considered as 'state' and the employees to be 'public servant' giving more responsibility in making the banking service reach the public. On that day SBI had 480 branches. Immediate requirement was to expand its presence to make reach banking service to every citizen. Now State Bank controls nearly quarter of the banking business in the country.

So the day on which the new era of the Banking Industry in India has started i.e. July 1st is celebrated by State Bank of India and its subsidiaries as State Bank Day.

Get your mobile banking service soon, be registered for mobile payments and be sure you are not a financially illiterate in front of your Panwala or a Vegetable Seller. Now let us see how you can pay that Panwala. It is possible immediately within 30 seconds through Inter bank Mobile Payment Service (IMPS), a unique concept of mobile based account to account funds transfer, which is the brain child of National Payment Corporation of India- NCPI. Inter bank Mobile Payment Service enables one to send money to another bank account using the mobile number and MMID of the receiver. MMID is a unique number called Mobile Money Identifier given to every account holder having IMPS. So what you need to do is just open your mobile banking application, select fund transfer, then IMPS, enter the amount to be transferred, the payee's mobile number and his MMID. Confirm the payment using your PIN, within 30 seconds payee gets and SMS telling stating that he has got the credit in the account from you. The payments completed and you can walk away without arguing for changes of soiled noted.

The PoS payments in the rural areas could not penetrate much due to the cost involved in it. There are 225 million ATM cards are issued, where 90 million cards are issued by SBI alone. But the availability of PoS merchants is as less as 0.55 million. Merchant need to install a machine, and then he has to pay commission for every payment which ranges between Rs 1.20 to Rs 2.50. But the mobile payment system is absolutely free of charge. It can be even used for usual fund transfers. Advantages of IMPS are availability at 24x7x365 days irrespective of a bank holiday, no need to share your bank accounts with the person who sends the money, confirmation of the transaction to both the parties, hence fool proof. Many bank accounts can be linked to single mobile number using different MMIDs. MMID helps the error free transfer of money by matching with the mobile number. You can do a lot with IMPS viz mobile to mobile money transfer (don't get confused, both the parties should have a bank account), ATM to mobile money transfer, Merchant payments etc. This is the fastest inter bank fund transfer service available at present.

Fundamental rights and Reservations

The mentioning of equal opportunities in employment and the reservations in the chapter of fundamental rights in the constitution of India created lot of confusions in judiciary, legislature and even for the executive wing. But still the opportunistic politics avoided the detailed discussion on the wish of the constitution regarding the reservations and the equal opportunities in education and employment.

Many believe that our constitution makers thought the reservations in negative sense. As there were lot of discriminations based on casts one born, they believed that it would be justified to extend the same for a period, not more than 10 years. Sardar Patel one of the chief architects of the Indian constitution said that "that the object of the House should be, as soon as possible and as rapidly as possible to drop these classifications and bring all to a level of equality"

The Indian constitution grants its citizens certain fundamental rights which are guaranteed by the constitution. Unlike any other legal rights, these fundamental rights are protected and enforced by the constitution. The fundamental rights can not be denied even by the government except in some special cases.

The constitution speaks of equal opportunities in employment and education to all the citizen of India without the discriminations on any ground. The related articles of the constitution read as follow which are self explanatory:

Article 16(1): There shall be equality of opportunity for all citizens in matters relating to employment or appointment to any office under the state

Article 16(2) No citizen shall on grounds only of religion, race, caste, sex, descent, place of birth, resident or any of them be ineligible for or discriminated against in any respect of any employment or office under the State.

Article 15(1): "The state shall not discriminate against any citizen on grounds only of religion, race, caste, sex, place of birth, or any of them"

Article 29[2]: No citizen shall be denied admission into any educational institution maintained by the State or receiving aid out of the State funds on ground only of religion, race, caste, language, or any of them.

In all these articles, the makers of our constitution speak about the equal opportunities and eradicating the discrimination on various grounds. The equal opportunities can be brought by increasing the competitiveness of the underprivileged citizens. Reservations in jobs will not create equal opportunities according to many scholars. Reservations are meant for the outcomes in employment opportunities, and not for the opportunities. Equal opportunities can be provided only through quality primary and secondary education which may also include special coaching and adequate assistance for any inadequately represented population groups.

There is a post reserved for some ‘community’ where there no candidate from that community applied. These seats were kept as backlogs though there the availability of suitable candidate is present from some other community. Don’t you think the employment opportunity is denied just because the second person is not from that reserved community? Isn’t it discrimination on the grounds of whatever mentioned in the constitution?

The wish of the constitution in bringing about the reservation has a wide meaning. In India we have seen a lot of discriminations on various grounds. There was lot of evil practices in our society. That too, we Indians have treated some people from particular communities as untouchable and saw as non human beings. There was a great inequality in our society. To support such people and give some opportunities for them and to bring them to the front row, the constitution wished for reservation. It also tells the reservation will not be against the fundamental rights mentioned above. The article about the reservations is as follow:

Article 16(4) "Nothing in this article shall prevent the State from making any provision for the reservation of posts in favour of any backward class of citizens, which in the opinion of state is not adequately represented in the services under the state"

The reservations in present scenario are not able to fulfill the wish of the constitution. A candidate from a reserved class becomes an MLA from a reserved assembly seat. Once he becomes an MLA his status got rises and enjoys every benefit an MLA from other forward communities enjoys. His cast does not matter for making money or bar him from using powers!! But his cast tag will continue with him. He expires and his son who have enjoyed every benefit that a non backward citizen enjoys, has enough money dominates the backward people of his own community and makes lobby, gets elected and enjoys all the benefits that has to be given to backward people though he is not backward now only for the reason he had born in that class. The other people of his own community will stay in the same situation even after 50 years from now making our politicians to think the same kind of reservation to be continued.

Now our judiciary has to interpret the constitution regarding the opportunities, backward class of people and reservations as it did interpret some of the fundamental rights in 1970s .

Inflation calculation in India- never gives true picture

Every media highlights downturn in inflation in recent days. It could be due the peak level we have witnessed in last few months, also due to the political reason- approaching general election. Today's news papers read "inflation at 6 years low at 2.4%". This could make you feel the prices have gone down and no need to spend more. Still it means the prices index that too wholesale price index is at 2.4% higher than what it was one year ago. Then what does the explanation "inflation gone down" means? It just means the rate of increase compared to last last week has gone down. But there is rate of increase. So until when there is +ve inflation (simply- inflation) you have to open your wallet more than what you were doing last year. Only when inflation is -ve (deflation) we can tell prices has gone down. Both are not good economics. There should be a stability.

With this come to the method of calculation of inflation in India. In India we use wholesale price index - WPI. It covers about 435 commodities in 3 groups- 1- primary articles, 2- fuel, power and lubricants, 3-manufactured products. These are given weightage for calculation as 22.03%, 14.25% and 63.75% respectively. WPI is calculated as point to point raise in prices i.e. comparing recent WPI to a point of time in past, that is a year ago. This method has two disadvantages- as it is calculated year to year basis, the seasonal prices can mislead the calculation, secondly, most important disadvantage is as it is based on WPI, it will not give true picture of consumer prices.

As in other countries India should also adopt CPI for measurement of inflation. A common man won't buy goods at whole sale price. Whole saler won't transfer complete downturn of price to consumer. Hence whole sale price index is a way of misleading the people. Even the WPI of some commodity drops at 20% CPI hardly drops 10%. So even when the inflation rate based on WPI is at 2.5%, inflation based on CPI could be 10%. In January, when the inflation was at the rate 3.03%, CPI for working class was 10.45%, for agricultural labour it was 10.62% and for rural labourers it was at 11.35%. Think how we are made fools!!

ನಾನು ಚಿಕ್ಕವನಿದ್ದಾಗ ಗೋಕರ್ಣದ ಸಮೀಪದ ನನ್ನ ಅಜ್ಜಿಯ ಮನೆಯ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಸಾರಸ್ವತ ಹಿರಿಯರೊಬ್ಬರು ಅವರ ಹಳೆಯ ಟೇಪ್ ರಿಕಾರ್ಡರ್ ಸ್ವಚ್ಚಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ ದರ್ಶನದ ಒಂದೊಂದೇ ಭಾಗ ಕ್ಯಾಸೆಟ್ ಹಾಕಿ ಕೇಳಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅದರಿಂದ ಆಗುವ ವಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಲಾಭ ಏನೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಭಾವಿ ಭಾರತದ ನಾಗರೀಕನಿಗೆ ಭಾರತದ ದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಿಸುವುದರಲ್ಲೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯಿತ್ತು. ಆರೆಸೆಸ್ಸ್ ಹಿರಿಯರ ದೇಶಪ್ರೇಮ ಅದಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲೆಸ್ಟು ಜನ ಭಾರತ ದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ? ಸ್ಲಂ ಡಾಗ್ ಆಗಲೀ, ಬಿಳಿ ಹುಲಿಯಾಗಲೀ ಭಾರತ ದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಭಾರತವೆಂದರೆ ಬೇರೆಯದೇ ಇದೆ. ಒಮ್ಮೆ "ಭಾರತ ದರ್ಶನ" ಮಾಡಿರಿ. ರೋಗಿಸ್ಟ ಭಾರತ ಎಂದು ಇಲ್ಲೆ ಹೀಗೆಳೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರು ಅದೇಗೆ ಭಾರತವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಪುನೀತರಾಗಿಸಿದರು ಎನ್ನುವುದನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ- ಭಾರತ ದರ್ಶನ. ನಾವೂ ಭಾರತಾಂಬೆಯ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಪುತ್ರರಾಗುವುದು ಹೇಗೆಂದು ಕಲಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಭಾರತ ದರ್ಶನ.
ಆರೆಸ್ಸೆಸ್ಸ್, ವಿಶ್ವ ಹಿಂದೂ ಪರಿಷತ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕರು ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುವ ಸಿನ್ನೆನ್ನ್ ಐಬಿಎನ್ ರಾಜದೀಪ್ ಸರ್ದೇಸಾಯಿಗೆ ಭಾರತ ಎಂದರೇನೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿ ನೋಡಿ. ಕಮ್ಯುನಿಸ್ಟ್ ಕನ್ನಡಕ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ನೋಡಿದ ಭಾರತದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅದಲ್ಲ ಭಾರತ. ನನ್ನ ಭಾರತ ಬೇರೇನೆ ಇದೆ. ಭಾರತ ದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದವರಿಗೆ ಟೆರ್ರರಿಸ್ಟ್ ಪಟ್ಟ ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಸಿಮಿಯಂಥ ಕ್ರಿಮಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸುವ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಏನು ಗೊತ್ತು ಭಾರತದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ.

Obama may be first for US, India has seen many

One of my friend attended a programme at her office, where a scholar from US was delivering a speech. He quoted that if a Dalit becomes prime minister of India, it could be a great day for India as the victory of Obama in USA. He knew only two races in India- Brahmin and Dalits. It is not his fault. It is the default of Indian media. They never highlight what is good here. It could be CNN IBN or BBC, or some other magazines.

But the truth is Obama may be first back to take charge of white house. But India has seen many such firsts. Here dalits have become presidents, prime ministers, minorities like what foreign, including some highly noticeable Indian media burns a image- the whole Hindu community is against to- Muslims has seen high places. It is not knew for us. We have given a equal, to tell truth, we have given more chance to dalits and minorities.

Karnataka farmers to set a record: to take oath on organic farming

Farmers strike for seeds, bundh for subsidies, fight for loans.... these are very old stories. Now our farmers are going to set a different record. 50,000 farmers of Karnataka are taking oath on organic farming on 26Th January. What a great news!
We, Indians never considered farmers as the backbone of Indian economy. Even today, India might be exporting software, technology goods, ores to foreign countries, agriculture is the basic structure of our economy. But we never gave importance to it, nor government. They might have announced some benificial plans for farmers. But I don't think it has reached a true farmer. At the most it could reach political party workers.
Now farmers themselves taking a step forward. They are coming to Bangalore in their own expenditure to take oath on organic farming. They now know the importance of the organic farming. They are taking oath to not to depend on seeds of multinational companies, which has brought blood in their eyes a number of times. They are also taking oath to not to take suicide as their final option when their crops cheats them.
Scientist, Visionary, our beloved former president Abdul Kalam will be present at the event in front of the Vidhansoudha.
I did not saw media giving importance to such events. They will enter into farmers life only when a farmer commits suicide. Please open your eyes to such matters. Build a positive India. This post is based on a report published in Vijay Karnataka

Though Israel never lagged behind when it comes to its security. Israel never asked anybody when it has to fight for it. It never hesitated to attack on Hamas. They know, world will support them.

Sri Lanka, officially the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, is an island country in South Asia, located about 31 kilometres off the southern coast of India. It is home to around twenty million people. Since 1983, there has been on-and-off civil war, predominantly between the government and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE, also known as the Tamil Tigers), a separatist militant organization who fight to create an independent state named Tamil Eelam in the North and East of the island. Sri Lanka was considered one of the "world's most politically unstable countries" by the World Bank and Asian Development Bank in 2004. Sri Lanka's government is labeled as one of the "world's worst perpetrators of enforced disappearances", according to a study by US-based pressure group 'Human Rights Watch'. Now, even the Sri Lankan army is celebrating win over rebels.

But India is still lagging behind. Our leaders are busy in burning. They are still giving warning to Worlds 8Th Failed State Pakistan to hand over the culprits. What a funny statements. Our leaders have forgot India maintains the third-largest military force in the world, which consists of the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. India maintains close defence cooperation with Russia, France and Israel, who are the chief suppliers of arms. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has overseen the indigenous development of sophisticated arms and military equipment, including ballistic missiles, fighter aircrafts and main battle tanks, to reduce India's dependence on foreign imports. In other hand world itself has already given an award to Pakistan "8th top Failed state" (1st is Somalia, 8th is Pakistan) and how one can believe in it? But India is. It may be due to its brotherhood relationships. If India and Pakistan were treated as two human beings the story can be used for a Bollywood film script. Every Indian is waiting to celebrate our win over our enemies. We know they are in Pakistan, they are in Pak Occupied Kashmir. World knows it. We have support of the world, though we don't need. But our leaders are not ready to show who we are. Dirty politicians.

Javaharlal Nehru and Edwina Mountbatten affair- An untold story

Javaharlal Nehru, Chacha Nehru, the first prime minister of independent India had a fashionable and privileged life. Recently Nehru is well discussed about his affair with the wife of Luis Mountbatten last Viceroy pre-Partition India. Nehru family was one of the richest family of India which was also had taken part in Indian freedom movement. Edwina also from a high class family of London where she was a leading member of London society at the time of her marriage. She was also leading a fashionable life. Her life almost totally dedicated to the pursuit of pleasure. Edwina was criticised by the news papers of her time for her affair with various celebrities of her time. It is also quoted "Lady Mountbatten occasionally traveled with her husband's sister-in-law, Lady Milford Haven, whose bisexual liaisons are perhaps better documented than those attributed to Edwina". She successfully suited newspapers for publishing her personal stories. But it was rumoured and remains widely believed, she an affair with Jawaharlal Nehru that could also be had a connection on Nehru's subsequent visits to England after her returning.

Pamela Mountbatten, daughter of Lord Mountbatten described the relationship between Nehru and her mother in her book India Remembered: A Personal Account of the Mountbattens During the Transfer of Power with a chapter called "A Special Relationship" Express India reports she says, ‘Love blossomed’ between a ‘lonely’ Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of the country, and the last Viceroy of India Lord Mountbatten's wife, Edwina, who had had other ‘lovers’ before. She also writes affair between Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first Prime Minister, and Lady Edwina Mountbatten, blossomed during a 1947 trip to Mashobra, a hill station, as part of a party of family and friends. The attachment between them lasted until her death in 1960. A packet of letters from Nehru was found by her bedside. In her will she left all Nehru's letters - a suitcase full - to her husband.

“…towards the end of the 15 months we spent in India, the immediate attraction between my mother and Pandit ji blossomed into love” by this sentence Pamela gives a sacred states to Nehru and Edwina love affair. The kind of love that the old knights of old, a chivalric love, just as deep an emotional love with two like souls in a way, people who really grow to understand each other, and to be able to listen to each other and to complement each other and find solace in each other. Whatever the stories that could be, the photoes will never lie.

Reintoduce Sanskrit as National Language of India

Sanskrit (संस्कृतम् saṃskṛtam) is a historical Indo-Aryan language, one of the liturgical languages of Hinduism and Buddhism. Sanskrit is the mother of all Indian languages. The literature for what India is considered as a great knowledge resource, were originally written in Sanskrit. That may be Ramayana, Mahabharata or nonreligious like Yoga, Ayurveda, Vedic Maths and even Kamasutra. Can India be considered as India without these? How we have treated this Holy language? Reintroducing Sanskrit as our National language can be a proper respect we could offer to it.

My intention is not to go against Hindi. Let Hindi be our administrative language, but we should also take into account that there are more non Hindi speaking people than Hindi speaking people in India(ref:Language in India). Most of non Hindi people are not willing accept Hindi. So instead of forcing Hindi into these regions, if Sanskrit is intoduced as National Language we can bring more National integrity. So sanskrit can be used as a tool for National integrity. Any how definition of Sanskrit could only achieve it: The word Sanskrit means 'put together', 'perfected', 'polished', 'accomplished', 'highly elaborated'.

Scholars who contributed for India also had the same view. Both Sri Aurobindo and Mother have suggested that Sanskrit should be the national language of India. Dr Ambedkar himself wanted to sponsor Sanskrit the official language of the Indian union along with his supporters Dr BV Keskar, deputy minister for external affairs, and Naziruddin Ahmed. He moved an amendment draft on September 10, 1949. The resolution had to be withdrawn due to political pressure.

One day Sanskrit will be introduced as National Language. Sorry it will be re introduced as our national language, once upon a time in the Golden ages of India Sanskrit was our nationl language. The day is not far if you believe Nostradamus forecast on Sinskrit:

As the Congress had heavily borrowed from the White Man (British ?) at Independence, it will become necessary to "Indianize" the nation so that it may manifest again its true unique soul.

Give back the power to the villages in the form of Panchayat. Reintroduce Sanskrit as the national language. Rewrite Indian History, which had mostly been devised by White Masters. Revive ancient traditional systems such as pranayama, yoga, and incorporate them in the education system and everyday life. Change the Constitution so that democracy may not be perverted as it will be.

LETTER TO PRIME MINISTER

I received this mail from my friend Santhosh B. J. Don't know, who has written this letter. But I thought it is publishable in my blog. Thanks to original writer.

Dear Mr. Prime minister

I am a typical mouse from Mumbai. In the local train compartment which has capacity of 100 persons, I travel with 500 more mouse. Mouse at least squeak but we don't even do that.

Today I heard your speech. In which you said 'NO BODY WOULD BE SPARED'. I would like to remind you that fourteen years has passed since serial bomb blast in Mumbai took place. Dawood was the main conspirator. Till today he is not caught. All our bolywood actors, our builders, our Gutka king meets him but your Government can not catch him. Reason is simple; all your ministers are hand in glove with him. If any attempt is made to catch him everybody will be exposed. Your statement 'NOBODY WOULD BE SPARED' is nothing but a cruel joke on this unfortunate people of India .

Enough is enough. As such after seeing terrorist attack carried out by about a dozen young boys I realize that if same thing continues days are not away when terrorist will attack by air, destroy our nuclear reactor and there will be one more Hiroshima .

We the people are left with only one mantra. Womb to Bomb to Tomb. You promised Mumbaikar Shanghai what you have given us is Jalianwala Baug.

Today only your home minister resigned. What took you so long to kick out this joker? Only reason was that he was loyal to Gandhi family. Loyalty to Gandhi family is more important than blood of innocent people, isn't it?

I am born and bought up in Mumbai for last fifty eight years. Believe me corruption in Maharashtra is worse than that in Bihar . Look at all the politician, Sharad Pawar, Chagan Bhujbal, Narayan Rane, Bal Thackray , Gopinath Munde, Raj Thackray, Vilasrao Deshmukh all are rolling in money. Vilasrao Deshmukh is one of the worst Chief minister I have seen. His only business is to increase the FSI every other day, make money and send it to Delhi so Congress can fight next election. Now the clown has found new way and will increase FSI for fisherman so they can build concrete house right on sea shore. Next time terrorist can comfortably live in those house , enjoy the beauty of sea and then attack the Mumbai at their will.

Recently I had to purchase house in Mumbai. I met about two dozen builders. Everybody wanted about 30% in black. A common person like me knows this and with all your intelligent agency & CBI you and your finance minister are not aware of it.. Where all the black money goes? To the underworld isn't it? Our politicians take help of these goondas to vacate people by force. I myself was victim of it. If you have time please come to me, I will tell you everything.

If this has been land of fools, idiots then I would not have ever cared to write you this letter. Just see the tragedy, on one side we are reaching moon, people are so intelligent and on other side you politician has converted nectar into deadly poison. I am everything Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Schedule caste, OBC, Muslim OBC, Christian Schedule caste, Creamy Schedule caste only what I am not is INDIAN. You politician have raped every part of mother India by your policy of divide and rule.

Take example of former president Abdul Kalam. Such a intelligent person, such a fine human being. You politician didn't even spare him. Your party along with opposition joined the hands, because politician feels they are supreme and there is no place for good person.

Dear Mr Prime minister you are one of the most intelligent person, most learned person. Just wake up, be a real SARDAR. First and foremost expose all selfish politician. Ask Swiss bank to give name of all Indian account holder. Give reins of CBI to independent agency. Let them find wolf among us.. I'm proud of you BJP, RSS, VHP and Bhajarang Dal. If you are enemies of terrorists you should be friends of Mother India. One should remember Enemies of enemies are our Friends!

Another terror attack in Mumbai; When will our leaders consider it?

ATS chief Hemant Karkare dead:

Mumbai Nov 26 (PTI): Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare, another senior IPS officer were among three officials killed Wednesday night in separate encounters with terrorists who struck at various places across India's financial capital. 54-year-old Karkare was killed when he was leading an operation at hotel Taj against terrorists who had taken 15 people, including seven foreigners, as hostages. Another IPS officer Ashok Marutirao Kamte, a 1989 batch IPS officer, was killed while fighting terrorists at Metro Cinema in the city along with encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar.

They are killed. Killed by terrorists, then? Our heartless secular leaders may call it as fake encounter; and advocate that death of the terorists should be given to CBI enquiry. This was the way our dirty politicians responded in earlier cases. This was the way they tried to pray for the sole of our IPS officers who gave thier lives for mother India and made never rested in peace!!

Politicians are the only reason behind these attacks. The persons should be punished are the political leader of the dirty secular parties those who show thier love to minorities even in the cases like terror attacks. What to do? They don't have guts to make a better policy against terrorism. Don't have time to think of it. Because they know most people those who go behind barrs due to these policies are minorities. They are busy in proving terrorism is not religion bounded, that means they are just busy in proving Hindus are terrorists!! What a pity!

Where are you Mr Home Minister? Please don't call for another press meet. Press people have too many recordings of the same. They will telecast any one. It shame of you that you haven't changed your words in any of the cases - Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Dehli and now Mumbai. This time at least don't come out. Our dear Prime Minister is happy with the Anti terror Policies of the union Govt. Thats why frenquent attact are going on to give some home work to Home minister. Look at the atacks, how strong our policies? Atleast now, instead of thinking terrors are Muslims, think of Mother India. Then I hope you can come out of minority politics and save India.

Death Toll

Between January 2004 and March 2007 the death toll from terrorist attacks in India was 3,674, second only to Iraq during the same period, according to the National Counterterrorism Center in Washington.

The government has previously blamed terrorist attacks on organizations linked to foreign powers, without offering evidence or making arrests. Local media often blame the attacks on groups backed by Pakistan or Bangladesh, without identifying the security officials who provided the information.

India’s capital, New Delhi, was rocked by five blasts during an evening rush hour in September, killing as many as 26 people and injuring about 133. Indian Mujahadeen, which claimed responsibility for similar attacks in Ahmedabad and Jaipur, said it was behind the blasts.

Sixteen bombs exploded in Ahmedabad within 20 minutes late on July 26, a day after seven bombs tore through India’s technology hub of Bangalore, killing two. At least 20 devices hidden in cars and garbage cans were discovered and defused in the Gujarat city of Surat, days after the Ahmedabad blasts.

We are affected by bad global cues

Most of the engineers who completed their graduation in May-June with a software job in their hand through campus placements are still waiting for call from companies. Some companies have given the tentative dates that fall in second quarter of 2009. Some firms who came to campus for placement in the early 2007 have not yet given even tentative dates for joining.

I heard of comparing the situation to those in 1997-99. But experts tell it is wrong because now Indian economy is completely globalised, where every small change in world economy has its own effect on Indian corporate.

As we already know US economy is facing very bad time that has ever seen after 1929. In USA alone about 85,000 has lost their job in August. Running in loss and bankruptcy of the investment corporations could affect the IT companies, because they have invested huge amount in IT firms. AIG experienced a 90% fall in its share value this year. Stock price of GE went down to 11 years low. IT stocks in Indian market are also going low reflecting the situation

In US these developments are given political importance for the coming presidential election. US House of Representatives voted against the proposal of government intervention in economy which was $700-billion bailout plan. Obama, democratic presidential candidate said in his one of the campaign that he shall remove the tax holydays for the companies which are outsourcing their works, to increase the employment rates there. If so, what would be the fate of the Indian software firms which are mainly focusing n the outsourced works? Still we can expect smoothening of the situation after the US election.

Exchange rate of the USD against Indian Rupee is improving. It is now about 47Rs/USD where it was about 39Rs/USD beginning of the year. It seems good news for the software firms because their revenue comes from exporting the IT products. By telling so we want to run over the reality, but we can’t hide the fact why Rupee is going down. It is because the foreign investors are removing their investments from Indian firms. Is it good news?

As per the information, even the middle level HR managers do not know when they are going to issue joining date for fresher. Higher authorities of the companies have instructed them to suspend recruitment till next instruction. So fresher may have to wait for some more time without minding news in the air.

City bank helped a company for acquisition of another bigger company. City bank is showing loss in recent days. Person who does not reveal his identity responded that the company faced a hard time in the last financial year and now it is under recovery. This is the time when it needs help of investment banks. So nobody can tell when the company will call fresher without knowing the present status of relation between the company and the bank.

Do they require all those who got placed? We can not answer this question unaware of strategies of individual companies. But one should accept that IT firms are not running as they have forecasted two years back.
