Akhand Bharat- Dream and the Reality

Akhand Bharat is a dream of many Hindu organizations in India and abroad. They want establish a Hindu Nation by uniting the Indian subcontinent which includes Pakistan, Bangladesh and some times even up to Malaysia where there are traces of monarchy of Indian kings were present. I strongly believe this idea of Akhand Bharat is unrealistic and be harmful to the nation. Recently Narandra Modi has revealed another face of Akhand Bharat.

In his most famous interview to Shahid Siddiqui of Urdu weekly Nai Dunia, Narendra Modi expressed his views on Akhand Bharat “My dream is that from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, people should be ek and nek (one and good)... It is the imperialists in Pakistan who are running a campaign for Akhand Bharat, so that Pakistan, India and Bangladesh can become one and this can be a Muslim-majority country... These people want to place Indian Muslims on the frontline and create tension.”

In reply to this opinion working president of Vishwa Hindu Parshad Dr Pravin Thogadia tweeted “No Hindu votes to him after he said: Those who campaign for Akhand Bharat are Pakistani Imperialists: In interview given to Shahid Siddiqi”. This tweet shows the tensed relationship between the Hindu organization and Modi. But Narendra Modi is partly right in his opinion about the Akhand Bharat. If Pakistan and Bangladesh unites with India the situation in India worsens as the majority Muslims of these countries will be welcomed by
pseudo secularists of the country and the life of citizens of India becomes miserable. We are already experiencing the tension in Assam due to the soft corner towards the Bangladeshi Muslims in Assam.

But John R Schmidt who served as political counselor at the US embassy in Islamabad, in his latest book ‘The Unravelling - Pakistan in the Age of Jihad’ tells the day might come when Pakistan might be reabsorbed into India the political unrest it may face in the future. Islamic terrorists might be able to seize a warhead and either use it for nuclear blackmail. Then US and India will be left with no other alternative option than “destroy all that was left of the Pakistani armed forces through the use of air power, with the US providing the air power and India the bulk of ground forces” He also tells "Once the dust had settled, the Indians and their US allies would then face a critical political question: what to do about the areas of Pakistan that had been brought under their control," they might incorporate the occupied territories into India, bringing about the final unravelling of the Pakistani state.

If it happens, dream of Hindu organizations may partially come true. Nothing can be ruled off in the present situation of terrorism and unrest in Pakistan. But I wish it won't happen.

RuPay: India’s Own Card Brand

There are 225 Million ATM cards in India, of which 90 Million are from a single Bank- State Bank of India, 0.55 Million merchants have PoS machines, Rs 3000 Crore is being dispensed every day from ATM machines. We are using American Branded Visa and Master Cards for all these. How much money they are making from giving their technology and brand name? What is the volume of personal financial data is getting transferred to US every day? So there comes an idea of India’s own card brand- RuPay.

NPCI- National Payment Corporation of India is a section 25 non profit organization formed by RBI and other Indian Banks. To bring the competition in cards, reduce the cost of card payments and card issuance and most importantly to secure the data within the nation NPCI has brought its own brand of card called RuPay. Already 12 co-operative banks and Regional Rural Banks are using the RuPay ATM cards, which can be used to withdraw cash from ATMs. By the end of March 2012, debit card will be launched using the flat form of Axis Bank and SBI as acquirer (bank to which PoS machines belongs to) and issuer of cards and Union Bank of India and Bank of India as card issuer. RuPay card holder can do shopping by April 2012. It will be ready for online transactions i.e. ecommerce by June 2012.

Apart from the main stream card business RuPay is also concentrating on financial inclusion. Adhar enabled biometric cards are being issued in Jarkhand by Axis Bank, Bank of India and SBI. RBI has given permission to 18 prepaid card service provider to issue prepaid cards with easy KYC to non bank customers and migrant labours.

RuPay will not be just an domestic card. RuPay has tie up with Discover Cards which is a neutral player for Indian market and 3rd largest card issuer (Visa and Master occupy first two positions and Amex occupy the position next to Discover. RuPay cost is 50% lesser than the Visa and Master cards which are dominating Indian market.

Living in India, Loving Pakistan

Recently a small town in Sindhgi in Karnataka was tensed due to hoisting of Pakistan flag in the Tahsildar's office on the eve of new year. This is not the first and can not be the last such incidents where some people showing their faith to the enemy nation reported. It is well known that some organisations which projects themselves as protector of the rights of the Muslims are involved in such activities. They removes the national flag and places their green flag at the government offices. They burn the banners containing Vande Mataram. They protest against the National anthem which united the nation during the freedom fight.

The irony is then they claims 4.5% of the quota in admissions to the institutions and the government jobs. The government further divides the OBC quote to give them something they never deserve as a vote bank politics.

When such anti national activities are reported, the supporter of the Hindu organisations stands in the front line to protect the pride of the nation. This is obvious because Muslims has gulf countries where they can stay as their own, Christians has half of the world to say that those are meant for them, Hindus does not have second choice for their habitat. India is the only place where they can live, breath and die. So these pro-Hindu organisations which protest the anti national deed of the anti national backed Muslims become anti-Muslim.

I was shocked to see the photograph of Legend Bhagat Singh on DYFI banner. DYFI is not a far relative of PFI or any other anti national organisation which are more harmful than the external terrorists. I don't think there is not even a single drop blood in them which is comparable to the patriotism of the Legend. I have also seen the members of these organisations celebrating the victory of the Pakistan team in the cricket matches. Their love towards Pakistan extends to switch of the lights when India wins. They switch of the TV in the restaurants owned by them when Mr Narendra Modi comes to hand over the prizes in matches.

I don't find any reason this hate towards India which has given more than they deserve. Or in other ways the only reason for this hate could be India has not given them what they deserve.

It is missionary terrorism

If we are blaming on Islamic terrorism of Taliban there is also another kind of terrorism. If Islamic terrorism is against the people of another religion or culture and aimed at destroying those followers. But another kind of terrorism I'm going to tell is against the humanity, against the belief, against the religion, against the culture. Yes, if you would have guessed you are right. It is Christian terrorism. Missionaries are the regulators of such terrorism.

Sanatana Dharma- Hindu Dharma and Hinduism is becoming the victim of this terrorism. Missionaries are busy in forcibly converting Hindus and to deconstruct Hindu society by waging a psychological war. Instead of peaceful co-existing with other religions as millions in India already do, they attempt to decimate all other religions through by conversion in the name of charity.

Missionaries funded by Western churches and nations often bribe local officials to cover up their activities. Missionaries operate in India under the guise of “charity” efforts when in fact they are simply “buying” converts through gifts and material items. Joseph Cooper of the United States carried out missionary activities for 11 years in India before he was expelled after being an accomplice to Pastor Sam Benson in the raping a 12 year old Hindu girl. If you think Christian Missionaries are peaceloving organisations you are wrong Christian militant groups in Northeast India busy in threatening the freedom and challenging the well-being of other religions. t is primarily due to those who want to make the whole region into a separate Christian state at the expense of those who would prefer to follow their own indigenous and Hindu cultures.

It is painfully obvious that political leaders, westernized media pundits, and the bureaucrats in India lack the requisite social and political knowledge, and philosophical skills to understand the devious activities of the church. They lack a firm national, religious, cultural commitment. They are driven to extreme and idiosyncratic decision by the lack of historical context of their judgments.

Brahmins- real Dalits today

Today we are not in the society where Mayura Sharma ( a Brahmin) could became Mayura Verma (a Kshatriya, founder of Kadamba Kingdom, Emperor of Banavasi, 1st kingdom of Karnataka). Those days a Brahmin was not a Brahmin because of his birth, he could become a Brahmin when he achieves a height of Brahmajnan required for a Brahmin. In that sense I can't tell I'm a Brahmin, I don't have Brahmajnan. I don't think anybody can claim he is a Brahmin today. So what I am writing here is about the group of people or a society of India and how it is being harassed politically and socially today. It was Muslim invaders who started harassing Brahmins, they created a big gap between Brahmins and other casts of Hindu community. Then it was British rulers who widened this gap. Whatever it could be Brahmins had contributed a lot for the construction of India. Or in other words it is because of Brahmins, ancient India is getting recognised today.
Danielou told "the teaching of philosophy, arts, sciences, which constituted the prestigious Indian cultural tradition, became more and more ignored and could only survive thanks to the Brahmins, without any help whatsoever from the State." Every invader treated Brahmins as the first enemy. Come to present situation. It is not the Brahmins who is not allowing the Dalits, Harijans or any other backward class people to come to front row. It is those who are little forward in their own community not allowing people behind them to go forward. In Tamilnadu, even today Dalits are parked in one corner and cannot enter the area devoted to Vanniars, who are just one rung above them, writes Francois Gautier in Rewriting Indian History. In the same book he continues to write "..Brahmins, who actually represent today a minority, which is often underprivileged... ...Brahmins never interfered in politics and today they are often a neglected lot..." "...In fact today, it is the Brahmins who have become the Dalits of India..." .
Harassment on Brahmins did not stopped there "..most of the intellectual Brahmin Tamil class has emigrated outside Tamil Nadu; the average income of Brahmins is less than that of non-Brahmins; a high percentage of Brahmin students drop out at the intermediate level ; 75% of domestic help and cooks in Andhra Pradesh are Brahmins; and most of Delhi’s public toilets are cleaned by Brahmins...."
Come to Kashmir now. Kashmiri Pandits became refugees in their own land. 1 million Kashmiri Hindus in 1900 in the Kashmir valley and barely a few hundreds today. Islamic terrorists concentrated on Pandits in the beginning. They knew if they destroy them the soul of Hinduism could be attacked. They attacked on Pandits, many Pandits lost their life, house, land temples, number of beautiful Kashmiri Pandit girls were raped. Where was the Human Right Commission or the activists sleeping? Are only Dalits human? I have seen number of journalist, media firms highlights even a Dalit kills another Dalit due to some personal rivalry they gives it a national news value publishing "A Dalit murdered". Why they could not see a Brahmin getting murdered or India getting wounded?

ನಾನು ಚಿಕ್ಕವನಿದ್ದಾಗ ಗೋಕರ್ಣದ ಸಮೀಪದ ನನ್ನ ಅಜ್ಜಿಯ ಮನೆಯ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಸಾರಸ್ವತ ಹಿರಿಯರೊಬ್ಬರು ಅವರ ಹಳೆಯ ಟೇಪ್ ರಿಕಾರ್ಡರ್ ಸ್ವಚ್ಚಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ ದರ್ಶನದ ಒಂದೊಂದೇ ಭಾಗ ಕ್ಯಾಸೆಟ್ ಹಾಕಿ ಕೇಳಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅದರಿಂದ ಆಗುವ ವಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಲಾಭ ಏನೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಭಾವಿ ಭಾರತದ ನಾಗರೀಕನಿಗೆ ಭಾರತದ ದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಿಸುವುದರಲ್ಲೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯಿತ್ತು. ಆರೆಸೆಸ್ಸ್ ಹಿರಿಯರ ದೇಶಪ್ರೇಮ ಅದಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲೆಸ್ಟು ಜನ ಭಾರತ ದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ? ಸ್ಲಂ ಡಾಗ್ ಆಗಲೀ, ಬಿಳಿ ಹುಲಿಯಾಗಲೀ ಭಾರತ ದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಭಾರತವೆಂದರೆ ಬೇರೆಯದೇ ಇದೆ. ಒಮ್ಮೆ "ಭಾರತ ದರ್ಶನ" ಮಾಡಿರಿ. ರೋಗಿಸ್ಟ ಭಾರತ ಎಂದು ಇಲ್ಲೆ ಹೀಗೆಳೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರು ಅದೇಗೆ ಭಾರತವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಪುನೀತರಾಗಿಸಿದರು ಎನ್ನುವುದನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ- ಭಾರತ ದರ್ಶನ. ನಾವೂ ಭಾರತಾಂಬೆಯ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಪುತ್ರರಾಗುವುದು ಹೇಗೆಂದು ಕಲಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಭಾರತ ದರ್ಶನ.
ಆರೆಸ್ಸೆಸ್ಸ್, ವಿಶ್ವ ಹಿಂದೂ ಪರಿಷತ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕರು ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುವ ಸಿನ್ನೆನ್ನ್ ಐಬಿಎನ್ ರಾಜದೀಪ್ ಸರ್ದೇಸಾಯಿಗೆ ಭಾರತ ಎಂದರೇನೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿ ನೋಡಿ. ಕಮ್ಯುನಿಸ್ಟ್ ಕನ್ನಡಕ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ನೋಡಿದ ಭಾರತದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅದಲ್ಲ ಭಾರತ. ನನ್ನ ಭಾರತ ಬೇರೇನೆ ಇದೆ. ಭಾರತ ದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದವರಿಗೆ ಟೆರ್ರರಿಸ್ಟ್ ಪಟ್ಟ ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಸಿಮಿಯಂಥ ಕ್ರಿಮಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸುವ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಏನು ಗೊತ್ತು ಭಾರತದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ.

Obama may be first for US, India has seen many

One of my friend attended a programme at her office, where a scholar from US was delivering a speech. He quoted that if a Dalit becomes prime minister of India, it could be a great day for India as the victory of Obama in USA. He knew only two races in India- Brahmin and Dalits. It is not his fault. It is the default of Indian media. They never highlight what is good here. It could be CNN IBN or BBC, or some other magazines.

But the truth is Obama may be first back to take charge of white house. But India has seen many such firsts. Here dalits have become presidents, prime ministers, minorities like what foreign, including some highly noticeable Indian media burns a image- the whole Hindu community is against to- Muslims has seen high places. It is not knew for us. We have given a equal, to tell truth, we have given more chance to dalits and minorities.

Karnataka farmers to set a record: to take oath on organic farming

Farmers strike for seeds, bundh for subsidies, fight for loans.... these are very old stories. Now our farmers are going to set a different record. 50,000 farmers of Karnataka are taking oath on organic farming on 26Th January. What a great news!
We, Indians never considered farmers as the backbone of Indian economy. Even today, India might be exporting software, technology goods, ores to foreign countries, agriculture is the basic structure of our economy. But we never gave importance to it, nor government. They might have announced some benificial plans for farmers. But I don't think it has reached a true farmer. At the most it could reach political party workers.
Now farmers themselves taking a step forward. They are coming to Bangalore in their own expenditure to take oath on organic farming. They now know the importance of the organic farming. They are taking oath to not to depend on seeds of multinational companies, which has brought blood in their eyes a number of times. They are also taking oath to not to take suicide as their final option when their crops cheats them.
Scientist, Visionary, our beloved former president Abdul Kalam will be present at the event in front of the Vidhansoudha.
I did not saw media giving importance to such events. They will enter into farmers life only when a farmer commits suicide. Please open your eyes to such matters. Build a positive India. This post is based on a report published in Vijay Karnataka

Democratic Party candidate Barack Obama created a broad grassroots movement and a new method of campaigning by courting and mobilizing activists, donations and voters through the Internet. It was part of a campaign that mobilized grassroots workers in every state. As he told in his victory speech this campaign was such a successful campaign that was never seen in history of United States of America. Now in coming election BJP prime minister candidate L K Adwani also seems to follow Obama's successful presidential campaign.

Adwani already became hero in corporate world by bringing Ambani brothers on a same stage during his meeting with corporate people. That has started a new story in news papers about Ambani brothers patch up. He was the main reason behind call off of the strike/bundh on 25th Dec, Christmas at Kandamal by Hindu groups and thus allowed peaceful celebration of Christmas. The strike was called for protesting against the government to fasten the enquiry of Swami Lakshmananand Saraswati murder by some Christian missionary supported criminals.

Adwani's official website www.lkadwani.in is already getting popularity. The site is so attractive and informative. It truly makes you believe Adwani will take India towards "Strong, prosperous and self-confident" status. The site is available both in English and Hindi version. If you hear the message from Adwani it hears same of that Obama's message during campaign. Both can be summarised on "people deserved change". Could this strategy will work on Indian elections. We have to wait till the election for 15th Lokasabha that could be over within 5-6 months.

Mother India crying looking at Arundhati Roy

"We had the death of former prime minster VP Singh, the hero of Dalits and lower castes and villain of Upper caste Hindus pass without a mention." Arundhati Roy writes in an article, she is so sad that terror attack on Mumbai made the people not to remember VP Singh. Arundhati Roy treats VP Singh as a hero, it is obvious that she is a "secular" Indian. She sometimes calls BJP as villions of Dalits and praises Vishwanath Pratap Singh, who cobbled a coalition of the Left and BJP to dethrone Rajiv Gandhi in the 1989 elections as a hero of Dalits. VP singh once considered very close to Rajiv Gandhi, later slammed him, quit his government in 1987 on the issue of corruption in public life. She writes- Even today we don't really know who the terrorists that attacked the Indian parliament were and who they worked for. She advocates on behalf of LeT, Afzal guru and some other extremist. According to Roy, Muslims are not the only people in the gun sights of the Hindu right. Dalits have been consistently targeted. Recently in Kandhamal in Orissa, Christians were the target of two and a half months of violence which left more than 40 dead. She writes LeT chief tells "We would like to give India a tit-for-tat response and reciprocate in the same way by killing the Hindus, just like it is killing the Muslims in Kashmir." She arrives to an idea that India, Indians, Hindus are busy in sinful acts. Are dalits not Hindus? At the same time she forgets that how many Kashmiri Pundits are refugees now.
