Squirrel Eats Last Bites of Chocolate

You might have seen series of photos of a monkey drinking the last drop of soft drink from the bottle like it is posing for soft drink ad. There was also enough discussion on the originality of the photos. Nobody claimed assure the originality of that.

In this photo taken by Ms. Ashwini at her Vijayanagar residence, I can assure you there is no alteration using any Photoshop like tools except resizing of the photos. Squirrel is eating last bits of the chocolate in Cadbury wrapper. This squirrel does not want to waste a bit of the chocolate in this recession time. It is also cautious on the trademark and other advertisement laws. So the brand of the chocolate can not be seen.

Accreditation by NBA: Prejudice

It was 24th May. I got a call to visit the college as National Board of Accreditation has come to college for evaluation. Thinking so, if my Alma matter gets accreditation it is my pleasure; went to college. It was the first time I’m seeing college during NBA committee visit. The whole college transforms into some extra ordinary superior status where 90% is unrealistic. Along with few of my senior friends went to the college. When we entered the department our eyes could not believe whether it is a reality what we are seeing in the labs and department. Few senior lecturers were so busy to follow the committee member that he should not get a clue that this is a drama set.

Afternoon we were called to the seminar hall to interact with the committee members. There are alumni and parents of the students to tell their opinion about the college. The session started. It was parents to tell their opinion in beginning. It went like this- “I am happy because my daughter is happy in the college…. I can get all the information regarding my son in 5 minutes. So college is very good…. My son was not good at academics, after joining this college he became intelligent.” Members of NBA committee started sleeping. They started snoring when it came to old students. “I got a job in research institution because of the name MVJCE. (I told myself- for the same reason many did not get a job)…. I got my scores improved when I came to this college (might have learnt copying in exam)…. The road from Hope farm to college was very bad, now it is rebuild (hey lady, they came to assess the college, not Bangalore Development Authority)…. Even in recession we have a good placement…. Garden is very nice, so I could study well and got passed…. It is very good college because I did not get ragged…”

Don’t think it ended up there. There were some students who could wake up the committee members. A person started “I’m very happy to hear that other department is so good, at the same time feeing sad my department is very poor. Our lecturers are so dumb that they do not know anything; there is no transparency in appointing lecturers. Our lab equipments, if it is there, are at very poor conditions that we have to go to some other institutions to do our final year project. Placement office is so hopeless they do not know any other firms apart from Caritor, Wipro, Infosys, TechMahindra. It is just because they need in mass and don’t look for the specific branch. Even after submitting 102 Biotechnology Companies lists with address and phone number the placement office could not make even a single company to arrive at college campus.”

It was another alumnus; call him as ‘sun’ to start his sparkling speech. “My relationship with this college is pretty long as students for 4 years and as a lecturer for one and a half years. I was amazed see the improvements in 6 months from the date when I left the college to today, from nothing to everything in a little while. The knowledge of the lecturers is so poor. It might be due to the recruitment procedures. I should tell how I was recruited. I was interviewed by the professors of E&E and a botany lecturer for the post of reaction kinetics. Do they know the definitions of the reaction kinetics? How they could evaluate? ”

Government plans for the betterment of the country. In this regard the person who has to apply them plays a major role. The saddest thing is when such prejudice comes to education. It has already penetrated.

Unforgettable Sins of Nehru-Gandhi Family

India has been ruled by Nehru Family for more than half of the time after its independence. Even today, though Mr. Singh is the prime minister of the country, every decision is to be approved by Mrs. Sonia Gandhi. Credits of the achievements of the government also go to Mrs. Gandhi in all advertisements. Mr. Singh is made prime minister for his loyalty to Gandhi family. Nehru:
Nehru and his sympathy towards minorities is the cause for Kashmir problem. To sign to the agreement with Liyakath Ali Khan was the greatest cheat. To betray Tibet, a peaceful spiritualised nation can not be forgotten. Nehru was in nightmare of brotherhood relation with China. But Chinese attacked on Himalayas, humiliating the Indian army and taking away 20.000 square km which is not recovered even today. If today India has control over only one third of the whole Jammu and Kashmir, one should blame Nehru.

Indira Gandhi:
Indira Gandhi as the Prime minister of India was the greatest political disaster of post Independent India. She converted President's office to rubber stamp of Office of Prime Minister. Pakruddin Ali Ahmad is first such president- who declared emergency from bath tub (not literally). Declaration of Emergency not in interest of the nation but to continue Mrs. Gandhi as the PM of India had lead to another freedom fight. Her membership of parliament was cancelled by the High court of Allahabad, which encouraged her to declare emergency.
She created the Sri Lankan imbroglio by arming and sheltering the Tamil separatist groups in Tamil Nadu's coastal. She also 'Created' Bhrindhrawale and made responsible for the whole Punjab problem. She helped Bhrindhrawale politically and thought of using him to counterbalance her opponents in Punjab. Operation Blue Star in Golden temple, which later caused her death.
After her death, thousands of Sikhs were murdered by Congress sponsored violence through out the country, major in Delhi; still they are looking for justice.

Rajeev Gandhi:
Rajeev Gandhi and his Italian wife are accused to be involved in Bofors controversy, biggest scandal in arms purchase for Indian Army. He went against the Supreme Court judgment in Shahabanu case to make favour to Muslim Personal Laws, there by playing minority politics game, against the constitution, against the interest of millions of women. He continued to support LTTE in the beginning, later sent troops to Shrilanka to fight against LTTE. But Indian Peace Keeping Force returned with failure from Shrilanka loosing thousands of Indian militants.

Sonia Gandhi:
Quattrocchi, the main accused of Bofors controversy, is from Sonia's motherland, Italy. Sonia is said misused PM office to help him. She is supporting Christian missionaries’ attempts at conversion of tribal Hindus, thereby disturbing the Hindu Society. She has given all the top Congress posts to Christians to achieve the same. While her mother in law Mrs. Indira Gandhi made President a rubber stamp of Prime minister, Sonia created Prime Minister who is rubber stamp of Gandhi Family.
There is high infiltration of Bangladeshi to Assam. It is indirectly supported by congress as a part of Vote Bank Politics which is now causing threat of terrorism in North East states. First time in the history of India ‘an officer who is not eligible to hold any public position’ is made Chief Election Commissioner, just because his obedience to Gandhi Family.

Girls, learn from Koena Mitra's nose disaster

Koena Mitra, born 1985 in Kolkata, India, is an actress in the Bollywood film industry. A fantastic dancer, Koena was trained with Mamata Shankar ballet troupe for 12 years and that shows on her dance numbers on the screen.She initially gained prominence through winning Gladrags magazine's Mega Model Contest in 2002, Koena’s first break in Bollywood was an item number in Ram Gopal Verma’s ‘Road’; the song “Khullam Khulla” became a big craze. Then thsi fame and of beauty surgeries big names in bollywood like Susmita, Shilpa etc made her to opt a nose surgery.

Nose surgery was done to make her pert nose look sharpen.It was alright until the surgery got over. Then the bone next to the nose started swelling up and then a scar started developing on the nose. Her cheeks looked swollen. Since she was bony, it was very obvious. It is also reported she undergone lip surgery to make her lips look big.

But now she tells "I wish people learn from my mistake. Plastic surgery is the worst kept secret of our industry, of any industry… Bollywood, Hollywood. But it’s a huge gamble. Parents go to doctors with 16-year-olds and say, “She wants to become a model or an actress, but she has some baby fat, can we do this surgery to make her look perfect?”. But it’s so scary, ask me! "

Girls and their parents who wish to take up a beauty plastic surgeries should learn a lesson from Koena Mitra's nose disaster. Tara Reid has similar experience with her breast implant. Plastic surgeries may have adverse effect. Even the breast implants are found to be causing harm. Think twice before you opt a plastic surgery. Option is - health or beauty?

Google SMS channels thrash MyToday?

MyToday and SMSGupshup are the ony players in the informative group SMS field. They offer SMS free daily on various topic and their revenue generated by putting oneliner ads at the bottom of such SMS. MyToday really lead the rally with 4 million subscribers and 11 millions subscriptions with a very simple website MyToday.com. Gupshup came second in the field and now the Internet giant Google also entered into SMS channels.

Google SMS Channels is a service that enables channels/groups on SMS. It's a free service that enables you to get premium content published by Google publishing partners, Google popular products (Google News, Blogger and Google Groups) and websites with RSS/Atom support for free. SMS Channels allows you to create your own channel(s) to publish content that other users can subscribe to. You don't pay anything to send or receive messages using Google SMS Channels. When you post a message to your channel, all the members of your channel get the message forwarded for free.

The main difference is that the Google allows the user to create their own channel and put it forward for the subscribers and also you can configure your interested channels online visiting to Google SMS channels. Hence you don't need to spend even a single sms to configure the sms channels.

I'm using MyToday from last 2 years and the quality of the service is not so good as it was earlier. This could be due to infrastructure problem. Google SMS channels are very systematic and it took hardly 5 minute to register, verify, search and subscribe to the services. Hence to service in this race both MyToday and SMSgupshup might have to change their complete strategies. Let us wait and see.
